DO I NEED TO HAVE MY CONTENT AND IMAGES READY BEFORE WE BEGIN?
Yes. All content and imagery needs to be ready by our agreed start date unless we have discussed otherwise. If content is not provided on time, the project may need to be rescheduled and a restart fee may apply. This keeps timelines fair for all clients.
CAN YOU COMPLETE MY PROJECT FASTER?
In some cases, yes. Timelines are designed to allow for research, design and refinement, but if you have a tight deadline, let me know as early as possible. If the faster timeline is achievable, I will provide a custom quote and a rush fee may apply depending on scope and urgency.
DO YOU OFFER PAYMENT PLANS?
Yes, most projects are paid in two or three instalments (depending on scale) across the project timeline with the final payment required before project handover.
ARE PAYMENTS REQUIRED UPFRONT?
Yes, a non-refundable deposit is required to secure your booking with Ginger Tea Designs.
IS THE DEPOSIT REFUNDABLE?
No. The deposit secures your place in my schedule. I book projects in advance and often turn away work to hold your spot, so the deposit confirms your commitment to moving forward.
WHAT IF I’M NOT HAPPY AFTER TWO ROUNDS OF REVISIONS?
We begin with a detailed strategy and briefing process so we are aligned from day one, and two rounds is almost always enough. If you need more refinement beyond the included rounds, additional revisions can be added at my hourly rate.
DO I NEED TO BOOK IN ADVANCE?
Usually, yes. It can also take time to gather your content and imagery for your website, so it is best to get in touch early if you have a specific timeline.
DO YOU ONLY WORK WITH CLIENTS IN GERALDTON?
We work locally and globally. Many of our clients are based interstate and overseas. Our process is designed to run smoothly online, wherever you are - although if you're a local we'd love to go through the project with you over a coffee in person.
WE ARE BASED OVERSEAS, WHAT CURRENCY IS PAYMENT?
We are based in Australia and our main currency of use is there for AUD, however, we have a global access bank account for our business and can accept payments in almost any currency. In some cases there may be a small additional fee but let us know in advance and we can check this so you're fully informed before starting.
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO MAKE A WEBSITE?
A website can take anywhere from 2 to 10 weeks depending on scope, content readiness and feedback timeframes. Timeline estimates are shared at the proposal stage so you always know what to expect. If speed is of the essence, we do have an express service for an additional fee.
CAN I EDIT MY WEBSITE MYSELF AFTER IT LAUNCHES?
Yes. All websites will be handed over to you for complete access, control, and editing. Some of our packages also come with training and a handover, or you can add this as an add-on service to ensure you have all the guidance and support you need to feel confident updating content yourself. We can also assist with ongoing support if you prefer a hands off approach.
DO YOU OFFER BRANDING? WHAT IS OFFERED IF SO?
Yes. Branding services include logo suites, colour palettes, typography systems and essential brand assets. We also offer semi custom brand kits for smaller budgets or faster timelines.
WHY WIX? DO YOU DESIGN ON OTHER PLATFORMS?
Wix is my preferred platform for most projects because it strikes the right balance between design flexibility, functionality and ease of use. It allows us to build something custom and aligned to your brand, while still giving you a platform that is intuitive to edit and manage once it is live. It is powerful, scalable, SEO friendly and gives us full creative control without needing complex development. In regards to other platforms, Wix is ideal for service based businesses, personal brands, creatives, small stores and local businesses. Shopify is my recommendation for large scale e-commerce businesses. If you are unsure which platform suits you, we can discuss it during your clarity call.
WHAT IS WEBSITE HOSTING AND WHY DO I NEED IT?
Hosting is the space your website “lives” on the internet. Think of it like renting land for your digital home. Wix provides both the platform and the hosting in one place, which keeps things simple and reliable. You will need an active Wix plan in order to take your site live.
DO YOU BUY THE HOSTING PLAN OR DOMAIN FOR ME?
No. You will purchase your Wix plan and your domain directly, and I will guide you on the right option. Domains can be purchased through Wix or a provider like GoDaddy. Once set up, you simply grant me access to connect everything and launch your site.
DO YOU BUILD A WIREFRAME FIRST?
With Wix, wireframes are not always necessary. I design directly on platform so you can see your pages evolve in real time, including layout, spacing, imagery and responsiveness. You get a clearer, more accurate sense of the final experience from the beginning.
IS THERE ANYTHING WIX DOESN’T DO?
Wix is powerful and continues to evolve, but no platform fits every business. Wix is not ideal if you need: • 100% custom-coded web applications (Wix does offer coding capabilities but not to the level of a fully coded website). • Enterprise level development • Highly complex e commerce logic or advanced B2B features (this is where Shopify or custom dev might come in) If your project needs something beyond Wix, I will always tell you honestly and point you in the right direction.
CAN YOU MOVE MY EXISTING SITE TO WIX?
Yes. Whether you are moving from WordPress, Squarespace or another platform, I can recreate and refine your website in Wix.
